MicroScribe® G2 The most tried and test articulated digitising arm of all time. Originated as the MicroScribe 3D back in 1995 and has evolved to be an industry standard. Now the G2 range are USB driven from a whole host of software solutions covering a wide range of user applications on Windows and Macintosh OS-X. MicroScribe® MX Building on the G2 technology, Immersion have broken the mould with the new MX & MLX arms that offer metrology level accuracy. MicroScribe® Spinning Stylus Each of the MicroScribe G2's and MX's are available as built to order systems with a 6th degree of freedom around the stylus. The standard spinning stylus includes a rotary encoder and has the option to add a transducer mount for fixing of other equipment. The spinning stylus models are normally only purchased for special applications where the user is developing their own attachments and specialised software. Software Solutions for the MicroScribe G2 MicroScribe technology can be used with many of the common CAD/CAM and 3D Graphic applications. There are three levels of integration available. Please refer to the legend below to find the level of support available for the CAD/CAM or 3D Imaging applications you use. In some cases, more than one level of support is available.      Direct support available. No additional software is needed other than the host application   Microscribe Utility Software -- Free with your MicroScribe G2! This software from Immersion enables 2D or 3D data from the MicroScribe to be sent to the host application. Not all applications can utilise this software utility.   Free evaluation copy of the software is available on the demo CD. Plug-in Support - An additional piece of software provides MicroScribe capability in the host application Developers - Can request the Software Development Kit to add MicroScribe functionality to your application.
